Situated at the foothills of the breathtaking Mount Currie Nature Reserve in Kokstad, our school provides a nurturing haven for children of all ages, ranging from 4 months old to Matric.

At our core, we uphold strong Christian values that serve as the bedrock of our educational philosophy, encapsulated in our 5 G’s value system: Gratitude, Grounds, Greeting, Grooming, and Grit. Together, these principles guide us in shaping balanced individuals who are not only academically adept but also socially aware and resilient.

Our School History

Born from the Holy Cross Convent; St Patrick’s College was started by a group of courageous parents with a vision of an independent school providing quality education to our local community and surroundings. With a strong Christian ethos and the backing of both ISASA and the IEB St Patrick’s College continues to “Strive for the Highest”. In 2023 we celebrated our school’s 30th birthday.

Our daily life is shaped by Altissimo Contendam and the core values of integrity, compassion, loyalty, respect and community. These guide how we teach, play, compete and serve every day.

As a Christian school, we emphasise daily discipleship and practical service. College pupils complete community‑service hours each year as part of their holistic development, and we invite families to partner with us in serving the wider community.

Academic pathway

We have been an IEB school from inception, preparing pupils for the National Senior Certificate with strong outcomes. A balanced timetable, caring mentoring and subject choice guidance help each pupil find the right pathway.
