| On Wednesday, 7 July, many of our past pupils, staff, parents and board members came together at the St Patrick’s Pavilion for the launch of our past pupils association. The evening started off with old friends reuniting and catching up followed by welcomes from our current headmaster and chairman of the board, Mr. Rob Macaulay and Mr. Steve Gallagher respectively. Mr. Frank Mannix has been appointed as interim chairman of the society. This association, currently known as the ‘Friends of St Patrick’s Society’ is open to any person who has been associated with the College, since the inception of the Convent, for a period of 5 years or more. Within the next year, a committee will be established that will be responsible for finalising a name for the society, as suggested by the members. This committee will also streamline the constitution of the society and so forth. It has been ten years since the first group of Grade 12 pupils left St Patrick’s College and the establishment of this society is yet another reminder that our school is going from strength to strength with each passing year.
